Given the recent cold snap, I figured this would be the perfect time to write a blog post of the top things to do on Marco Island in cold or rainy weather!

Marco Island is known for its stunning beaches and sunny skies, but what happens when the weather takes a turn? Don’t worry—this little slice of paradise still offers plenty to do, even when it’s cold or rainy. Here are some ideas to make the most of your time indoors or during cooler weather.

  1. Visit the Marco Island Historical Museum

Step back in time and learn about the rich history of Marco Island. The Marco Island Historical Museum offers fascinating exhibits about the island’s Calusa Native American heritage, early settlers, and transformation into the beautiful vacation destination it is today. The life-size Calusa village display is a must-see, and admission is free!

Unwind and pamper yourself with a luxurious spa day. Marco Island is home to several high-end spas, including The Spa at JW Marriott, The Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa and Skin Renewal Systems Salon & Spa. Treat yourself to a massage, facial, or a full-body treatment while listening to the soothing sound of rainfall outside. Or if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, one of my favorites for a foot massage or full body is Happy Feet just off the Island on Collier Blvd in Naples.

Enhance your culinary skills with a fun and interactive cooking class. Local chefs often host classes that teach you how to prepare delicious meals, including seafood dishes inspired by the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a great way to bond with family or friends while learning something new.  Give The Rose House in Naples a try.

  1. Try Indoor Fitness and Wellness Activities

Stay active even when it’s chilly or wet outside. Many fitness centers on the island provide daily or weekly passes and offer yoga, pilates, and other indoor fitness classes.
